Mansi Ganga Goverdhan
According to legend, Shri Krishna used to sport with Shri Radharani and Gopis in the Yamuna, When Bhagavati Ganga beheld the great fortune of the Yamuna, her younger sister, she also became overwhelmed by a strong desire to serve the Divine Couple Shri Radha-Krishna. She expressed this yearning to the Yamuna and requested her help. Krishna's dear Shri Yamuna entreated her beloved Krishna to bestow His mercy upon her elder sister, so when the time was right, Shri Krishna summoned Gangaji to Braj and blessed her by frolicking in her waters.
पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार श्री कृष्ण, श्री राधारानी और गोपियों के साथ यमुना में स्नान करते थे | श्री गंगा जी (श्री यमुना जी की बड़ी बहन) को दिव्य दम्पति श्री राधा कृष्ण (प्रिया प्रियतम) की सेवा की प्रबल इच्छा हुई तो उन्होंने अपनी छोटी बहन श्री यमुना जी से इस बारे में बात की और यमुना जी से उनकी मदद करने के लिए अनुरोध किया | श्री कृष्ण की प्रिय यमुना जी ने श्री कृष्ण से गंगा जी पर कृपा करने का अनुरोध किया | जब समय सही था तब श्री कृष्ण ने गंगाजी को ब्रज में बुलाया और उनके जल में स्नान करके आशीर्वाद दिया। इस तरह मानसी गंगा का प्राकट्य ब्रज में हुआ ।
