SHRI SAKHRI DHOR DARSHAN
Sankari Khor is a sacred narrow passage nestled between Brahmagiri Parvat and Vilasa Parvat in Barsana. This divine spot commemorates the Dana-Keli pastime of Lord Krishna, where He mischievously collected tax (dana) from the gopis. As the gopis carried milk, curd, and other dairy products to the market, Krishna along with His sakhas would stop them in this passage, demanding offerings before allowing them to pass. At times, when the gopis refused, He would joyfully break their pots and share the contents with His friends. This leela beautifully reflects the playful and intimate bond between Krishna and His devotees, adding to the spiritual charm of Barsana’s sacred landscape.
